Often long, stressful and overwhelming, building a new home, or renovating one is fraught with potential for dismay. Building a trusting relationship with your contractor is a great start, Layland Crafted Spaces work tirelessly to deliver the project outcome you deserve. I can’t promise to take all those negatives out of the equation for the duration of the project, I don’t believe that is possible, but we have seen the entire process through enough times to guide you at every stage, to give you both the best experience possible and your home delivered to the highest of standards, and then some.

Running a construction site is hugely demanding. It has also become immensely broad in the skill set and knowledge required to successfully complete a project on time, to budget and satisfying regulations and client expectations.
To excel, and deliver a remarkable project requires a great team. Whether it’s time, knowledge, motivation, skill set or any other factor limiting your project management team’s ability to deliver the extra ordinary project you need to deliver, Layland Crafted Spaces might be able to help pick up the slack.
These services may best suit: contractors scaling up and requiring additional support on their largest undertaking of their career; working foremen who don’t have the time to be sat at their desk and need to outsource some tasks; management teams simply struggling to keep up and record client changes, RFI’s to designers, creating schedules, etc; or, you would appreciate some help with contemporary technologies and architectural detailing.
Contemporary construction demands so much of the team on site. Traditional building methods allow for a diminishing tolerance as the sequence of work progresses with elements like skirting boards, architrave and floor thresholds getting over whatever of that tolerance is left. It works well, but we now demand more. Modern architectural minimalist detailing, the “Shadow Gap”, “Flush Finish” is so common now it’s reaching those homes where traditional methods used to be enough. Unfortunately, to achieve these contemporary looks, exacting construction details need to be followed. Add into the mix the hugely collaborative design processes that goes into these homes and you’ve got a recipe for disaster if not handled correctly from the offset.
Design Coordination - Architects, Structural Eng., Joinery, M&E, Lighting, Interiors, a set of drawings for each. Good luck Site Managers! Having a dedicated team member to bring all of this together to offer a single route of communication and integrated plans where required streamlines the process and avoids mistakes.
Detailing and Technologist Services - Sometimes going back to the architect isn’t the best option for your project. Designing collaboratively with the construction team works.
